Day 10.
One of the most frustrating things of isolation, is not being able to physically go shopping. Georgina went to do the shopping today with my list. We checked with next door if they needed anything, as they are on thier own. She went first to the Butchers, which was fine, she even ordered our Ieg of lamb for Easter. Then to the supermarket, where she had to queue for 20 mins to get in. Several phone callsto check items, find items or ask questions and 2 hours later she got home, frustrated, tired and having forgotton several things on the list. (She also forgot her ID so couldn't buy her Gin or her brother's cider!) So, I ended up doing an online shop anyway.
Syd spent the morning fixing their, the kids, shower. Hopefully it should be fixed.
I spent the morning watching YouTube, it's quite addictive watching clips from shows. After homemade tomato soup for lunch, I crocheted.
Today's Bible reading, Hebrews 9, I spent time drawing about the reading and considering the text. It's interesting, if Hebrews has been written to a group of early Christians who were very complacent, become too busy with, being religious, doing good works, or just disinterested and unmotivated and this letter' is reminding them of thier heritage, history and encouraging them to rediscover Christ, redevelop ther relationships with God. Then there learn is something we can learn and do during this time of isolation. ( and I may not be right but these are my own thoughts)
We, as church, are having to rediscover ways of worship, stop doing things we have 'always done' and, maybe realising that to worship and spend time with God, we don't necessarily need all the extra trappings that come with organised religion!
That said, I do miss being with people and really valve zoom Bible study so I 'see' my church family.
Georgina to get decided today was the day toget the ballet barre out and do some ballet. I enjoyed watching and she found she missed practice. This followed with her supervising an ab workout for me!
Edward is celebrating today, he has been appointed to a role at his Uni Rock Society Which he stood for. I'm very proud of him.
Tea, was a new recipie off pintrest, stuffed chicken breast. All enjoyed it, which was good. (Look at this... 👀 https://pin.it/2WTsy1A)
Bible study, was good. The strange thing is our dog, Bailey, the last time we had Bible study he curled up on Sofa for all of it. Today as soon as zoom came on, he stopped playing and curled upon sofa! I did move him so I could sit and we curled upon a chair, for whole session. Very unusual.
