musings of an isolated wheelie!

March 28th 2020

Today is day 7 of our staying in marathon.

To give some context, I've been off work since the 20th February when I had surgery to remove my gallbladder, which went well but I had a post op infection& leak of fluid. It really wiped me out and I am still very tired and have swelling. so I've been at home a longtime. I had managed to get to church the last 2 Sundays before we stopped going out.

I'm not on my own, my husband, Syd, children Georgina, 22, and Edward,19.

Edward is home from Uni and missing his social life and Georgina who is just completing her degree has been offered a job due to start in 4 weeks. She needs to move so very challenging.

I've created a jobs list for the garden to keep people occupied. Georgina has been insisting on a daily exercise class, which I don't normally do but itis fun.

I had started playing Wheelchair rugby but obviously that is off at the moment. So I'm trying to keep fit, as fit as my recovery permits!

I'm not sure how this will pan out but I hope to add to it through the day, with photo's and just see where it goes!

Today began with exercise! I tried a youtube session from Adapt to Perform @adapttoperform.  Quite enjoyed it, so will do it again.

Work out in my wheelchair

I spent some of the day reading and getting to grips with writing a blog.

Part of our our daily reading is Bible reading, as a church, we are collectively reading a chapter of Hebrews a day, today was chapter 6.

Georgina decided to do some baking, she made some muffins.

Tea was sausage pappardelIe, we didn't have any pappardelle so I made some. very hard on the arms making the pasta, .but it tasted great.
